« Le Génie des Langues » is a family run school with professional standards. We aim to cater for both school parties and individuals looking for a French language holiday, and to provide private lessons in English and French for people living in Normandy. In addition to this, we also offer intensive, residential courses for adults and summer schools for over 16 year olds.

Our holidays are usually a mixture of morning lessons followed by afternoon excursions and activities. School parties have further evening activities to keep students out of mischief! Adult packages leave you free to relax and explore local cuisine.

We will organise the entire holiday for you (accommodation, tuition, activities and excursions). The only thing you have to do is organise your travel (for school parties travel is also organised!).

However, our guiding principle is, YOU DECIDE. We organise your accommodation, your tuition and activities but only after full consultation with you, and only when you have approved everything. You organise your own travel but we are willing to guide and advise you on this also.

We want to provide fun, friendly and effective language learning in a homely environment, tailored to your specific needs, at a fair price.

Véronique Maingot, Licence d’anglais, PGCE
Véronique is your language tutor. Born and brought up in France, Véronique graduated from Toulouse University in 1996. She has lived in England for ten years and has taught in both state and independent secondary schools. She has taught GCSE, ‘A’ Level, and all Key Stages to both boys and girls. She is a fully qualified teacher and is fluent in both French and English. She is First Aid qualified.

Joseph Maingot, BA, PGCE
Joe is your Drama specialist and runs the administration side of the business. He was born and brought up in England, graduated from King’s College, London in 1992 and has 12 years experience of teaching English and Drama in both state and independent secondary schools. He is a fully qualified teacher and speaks both French and English fluently. He is First Aid Qualified.
